OBITUARY - SARAH MIRANDA "OLIVE"
(TAYLOR) LEAZENBY WILLIAMS

Sarah Miranda Olive WILLIAMS, Olive, as her relatives and friends knew her, lived a long and fruitful life. She was born February 9, 1904 in Ridgeway, Missouri, and departed this life April 28, 1988 in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Her parents were William B. and Ellen MULLINIX TAYLOR. Her life span was 84 years, two months and 26 days.

After graduating from Ridgeway High School, she attended Central Business College in Kansas City, Mo.

Olive was married to Dr. Raymond E. LEAZENBY of Ridgeway, who was practicing dentistry at the time of his death in October, 1941.

Olive later married in July, 1949, Carson WILLIAMS, a local farmer and business man, who passed away in January, 1960, some 15 years later. Olive worked as First Assistant Cashier in the Security State Bank and then as Assistant Ringgold County Audiotr until retirement.

Olive was baptized at First Christian Church, Ridgeway, and became a member of the Mount Ayr Christian Church November 13, 1938, until the time the Lord called her from this earthly fellowship.

Olive was a primly person; her houseand dress were always in an appropriate fashion. She was generous ofhertime and money helping others. When she was younger she loved to have pretty flowers around the outside of the houses she lived in.

As we say "Goodbye" to Olive, we feel God will provide her with plenty of friends, beautiful surroundings and freedom from pain and loneliness.

She leaves to mourn one niece, Sue and husband, Dr. Douglas RONALD, Bella Vista, Ark.; two nephews, James G. TAYLOR and wife, Wilma, Tulsa, Okla. and Dr. Tommy D. TAYLOR and wife, Carol, St. Joseph, Mo.; a nephew and a niece by marriage,Dr. Charles and Florence LAWHEAD, Ellston, Iowa; sister-in-law, Millie (Leo's wife), Betty (Henry's wife) and Hazel (Tommy's wife) and other relatives.

Funeral services were held April 30, 1988, from the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home at Mount Ayr, Iowa, conducted by Pastor Phil KINTON. Music was provided by Mrs. Robert THOMAS and Dr. Collus LAWHEAD.

Casketbearers were Max McGEHEE, Dan CUNNING, Arlen HUGHES, Albert DRAKE, Dr. Carlin LAWHEAD and Dr. Charles LAWHEAD. Burial was in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway, Mo.

OBITUARY - OLIVE WILLIAMS, Mount Ayr

MOUNT AYR - Olive WILLIAMS, 84, of Mount Ayr died early Thursday morning, April 28, 1988, at the Ringgold County Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Phil KINTON will officiate with burial in the Ridgeway Mo. Cemetery. A family night will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today. A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. WILLIAMS was born Feb. 9, 1904, in Ridgeway, Mo., to William B. and Ellen (MULLINIX) TAYLOR. She married Dr. Raymond LEAZENBY and he died in October 1941. Then, in 1949, she married Carson WILLAIMS and he died in January 1960. She worked as assistant cashier for several years at the Security State Bank in Mount Ayr and asn assistant to the Ringgold County Auditor.

Survivors include two nieces and three nephews.
