Curtis WILLEY was born in Noble county, Ohio, July 18, 1837, and passed away at his home in Delphos December 9, 1927, at the age of 90 years, four months and 21 days. He had been bedfast as a result of a paralytic stroke since August 28, 1926. His death was caused by a second stroke December 7, 1927. In 1860 he was united in marriage to Margaret FOWLER. In 1867 Mr. WILLEY came to Iowa and soon afterward married Christinia GLOVER, who now survives him with memories of the years spent together as helpmates to each other. To this union were born Louella ROSE, deceased; Elizabeth GRIFFITH, of Cummings, Iowa; A. D. WILLEY, of Date, S.D.; Alice GEIGER, of Des Moines, Iowa; Highland (sic) WILLEY at home.

Mr. WILLEY gave his life to the Master in 1912 uniting with the Methodist church. In 1918 he united with the Church of Christ under the leadership of Rev. CREWDSON. Beside his wife and children he leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Mrs. Eliza FOWLER, of Menlo, Iowa, and Mrs. Delia STEDMAN (sic), of Delphos, Iowa; two brothers, Wesley WILLEY, of Monteith, Iowa, and Leonard WILLEY, of Menlo, Iowa, and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His children were present at his bedside except A. D. WILLEY, of Dakota. Beside these he leaves other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 10, at 11 o'clock in the Delphos Church of Christ, Rev. W. L. JOHNSON of Drake University and Rev. T. S. RHOADES, of Mount Ayr, officiating. Interment was in the Redding Cemetery.
