OBITUARY - CHARLEY ANDREW WILHELM

Charley Andrew WILHELM (91) formerly of Ellston, passed away on Christmas Eve at his home in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. He was the eldest son of Bert and Annabelle (GLICK) WILHELM, who farmed near Ellston.

Charley is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nellie (CLARK), also formerly of Ellston; a son, Robert, of Pine Bluffs; a daughter, Clara BOCKUS of Denver; a daughter, Anita ROBINSON of Pine Bluffs; a brother, Harley of Ames, Iowa; and a sister, Faye PIKE of San Jose, California.

Charley is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildne and a number of cousins which includes Mary GLICK GROSE and Duane GLICK, both of Mount Ayr. Other more distant relatives from this [Mount Ayr] area include George GERMAN, Vonna LAIRD, Marie SMITH and Mr. and Mrs. Roy COOPER.

Charley was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne BOCKUS, a grandson, Christopher WILHELM and two brothers, Merle and Berl.

Charley was an alumnus of Ellston High School. In 1919 he and Nellie moved to Southeast Wyoming where he developed, owned and operated a number of highly successful businesses.

Services and interment were at Pine Bluffs.
