OBITUARY - ROBERTA (HETZEL) WIGHT

American Flag.jpg Roberta WIGHT of Mount Ayr, Iowa, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the Medi-Home Nursing Center in Prairie Grove. She was born March 6, 1924, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Harry Dale and Avis Rush HETZEL.

She had resided in Fayetteville [AR] for the past three years after having lived in Holiday Island since 1979. She attended business school in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked at various secretarial positions including once for General Motors in Detroit during World War II. She was a member of Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. She had served as State Commander of the Arkansas Diamond Chapter Wives of U.S. Submarine Veterans of W. W. II.

Survivors include her husband, Robert WIGHT of the home; two sons, Jay WIGHT of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Chris WIGHT of Oak Park, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Cremation was arranged by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove. A memorial service will be held at a future date with burial of cremains in Henderson, [Mills County] Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Faith Methodist Church in Eagle Rock, Mo., or to a charity of the donor's choice.
