OBITUARY - JAMES W. WHITE

James W. WHITE, son of Thomas and Rebecca WHITE, was born March 6, 1874, on a farm in Ringgold County, where he grew to manhood. He passed away April 26, 1957, in the Ringgold County Hospital at the age of 83 years, one month, and 20 days.

Mr. WHITE had been in failing health for several years although he never complained and thought only of the welfare of others. He was an honest and upright man and a friend to all with whom he was aquainted.

On November, 1935, he received Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized in the sping of 1956.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are four brothers: John, of Kellerton; Silas , of Pueblo, Colo.; Lou, of Lincoln, Neb.; and Albert, of Exeter, Calif.; two sisters: Lillian WHEELER, of Ottumwa; and Maude VOLLAND of Milford, Neb., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the Rhodes Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Clifford GERARD, paster of the Assenbly of God Church. Music was provided by LaVerne GOLBRICHT, vocalist, and Janice MERCER, organist. Casketbearers were Bert BAGLEY, Everett WALTER, Charles WALTER, LeGrande MILLER, Hugh FOSTER, and Cleo BURCHETT. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
