Cassius H. WHEELER, son of Charles and Amelia WHEELER, was born in Erie, Penn., March 29, 1861, and passed away in Mount Ayr, Iowa, April 6, 1938, at the age of 77 years and seven days. When he was ten years old he came with his parents, in a covered wagon, to Aurora, Ill., where they lived three years. They then moved to Taylor county, Iowa, and later to Ringgold county, where he spent the remainder of his life.

February 7, 1883, he was united in marriage to Hattie DANT. Three sons and four daughters were born to this union. One daughter died in infancy. Those surviving are Ed of Mount Ayr, John of Ottumwa, Charles of Hastings, Neb., Mrs. Alice CAMPBELL of Buchanan, N.D., Mrs. Dwight MAIN of Mount Ayr. In addition to these he leaves 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mrs. Wheeler passed away January 14, 1930.

Mr. Wheeler was an industrious man, spending most of his life farming and raising stock.

Many friends, along with his relatives, are going to miss his coming and going among them.

Funeral services were held at the Rhoades Funeral Home Friday, April 8, at 2:30 conducted by T. S. RHOADES. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Card of Thanks.

For the many acts of kindness and sympathy so generously bestowed during the illness and at the time of the death of our father, we are sincerely grateful; also for the many beautiful floral tributes.

—The WHEELER family.
