Jeanne Lynn Wells, daughter of Mae and Vivian Wells, was born March 4, 1941, and departed this life August 24, 1964, at the age of 23 years, five months and 20 days.

Jeanne graduated from the Mount Ayr Community High School in May, 1959. She attended one year of college at Graceland in Lamoni, and three years at the Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, from where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in education. She taught last year in North Kansas City, Missouri, and had signed a contract to teach the fifth grade of the Herbert C. Hoover Elementary School in Council Bluffs this year.

She will be sadly missed by her devoted parents; three sisters, Millicent, of Mount Ayr, and Janet and Patricia, of Des Moines; two brothers, J. R., of Kansas City, Mo., and Gary of Mount Ayr; a nephew, Michael James Wells, of Kansas City; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sharp, of Lamoni: several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
