OBITUARY - GLENNA WAUGH, Mount Ayr
MOUNT AYR - Glenna WAUGH, 81, of Mount Ayr, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 8, 1989, at her home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Samuel FRY will officiate
with burial in the Middle Fork Cemetery. A family nighwill be fro 7 to 8p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Miss WAUGH was born Dec. 28, 1907 near Redding to
Charles and Tillie (GLENDENNING) WAUGH. She was a homemaker and a lifetime Ringgold County resident. She was a
member of the Middle Fork United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Odean KRAFT of Winnetka, Ill, Fern
JACK (sic) and Flora Belle WAUGH of Mount Ayr and Hazel JACKSON of Grant City, Mo.

OBITUARY - GLENNA WAUGH
Glenna WAUGH was born December 28, 1907, to Charles M. and Tillie J. GLENDENNING WAUGH in Ringgold County, IA. She
passed away January 8, 1989 at the age of 81 years and 10 days at her home in Mount Ayr, IA.
Her entire life was
spent in Ringgold County. She lived on a farm near Redding, graduated from Redding High School and attended, for one
year, what is now the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
She returned home and cared for her elderly
parents until their deaths. After her mother's death, Glenna moved to Mount Ayr in 1968 to share the home of one
sister, Flora Belle WAUGH. Abut this time she began writing Middle Fork correspondence for the Mount Ayr Record-News.
Glenna loved nature and especially enjoyed her garden, flowers and birds that came to her window to eat feed
that she supplied for them. She made many of her friends and family happy with her gifts of flowers and garden
She had been a member of the Middle Fork United Methodist Church since 1916 and a regullar (sic)
attendant when health and weather permitted. She was a member of the Mount Ayr United Methodist Women's
organization and its morning study circle. She also was a part of the Mount Ayr Evening Literature Club and
attended a meeting of this and study circle the week before her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents
and a brother, Clifton.
She is survived by four sisters -- Ferne JACKSON, Mount Ayr; Odean KRAFT, Winnetka, IL;
Flora Belle WAUGH, Mount Ayr; and Hazel JACKSON, Grant City, MO; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved
dearly. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. at
Wilson-Watson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr with the Rev. Samuel FRY officiating. Burial was in Middle Fork
Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Eldon BOESE and casketbearers were Chris FINE, Curt
JACKSON, Todd JACKSON, Alan GARDNER, David GARDNER and Douglas AUSTIN.
