OBITUARY - JOHN VANSKYOCK

John Arthur VANSKLYOCK, 74, of Ankeny, formerly of Redding, died June 10, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the United Methodist Church in Redding. The Rev. Merlin WILKINS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Redding Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the United Methodist Church in Redding. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Redding. The Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr, has charge of arrangements.

Mr. VANSKYOCK, son of Cleota (SHARP) and Doyle Victor VANSKYOCK, was born June 5, 1930, in St. Joseph, Mo. He was employed by the state of Iowa as an electrical engineer.

Survivors include a sister, Marilyn (wife of the Rev. Weldon) WHITENACK of Washington, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Interment was made in Redding Cemetery.
