OBITUARY - HAROLD H. TAYLOR, Diagonal

DIAGONAL - Harold H. TAYLOR, 83, of Diagonal died Friday evening [September 27, 1985] at the Ringgold County Hospital at Mount Ayr following a lengthy illness.

Services are 1:30 p.m. today at the United Church in Diagonal. The Rev. Eydie DEAL will officiate with burial in the Diagonal Cemetery. The Wilson-Watson Funeral Home of Diagonal has charge of arrangements.

Mr. TAYLOR was born Sept. 9, 1902, in Union County to James and Nellie May (nee FIGGINS) TAYLOR. He married Margaret DENHART on Jan. 1, 1930, in Creston. He was a retired farmer and spent most ofhis life in Ringgold County.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Diagonal; a son, John TAYLOR of Diagonal; three daughters, Helen (Mrs. Rex) TURNER of Creston, Caryl (Mrs. Philip) DUKES of Marathon and Barbara (Mrs. Chuck) GIFFORD of Carroll; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Frances PARKER, of Lenox, Bessie PERRY of Mount Ayr, Velma AVERY of Des Moines and Verla (Mrs. Clyde) DEAN of Gailation (sic), Mo.; and two brothers, Clifford and Wayne TAYLOR of Diagonal.

A memorial has been established to the Ringgold County Hospital.
