OBITUARY ~ CHARLES L. TAYLOR
Mr. C. L. Taylor, for a long time a resident of Clearfield before 1910, died
at Villisca on Monday afternoon, October, 18. He was working at his trade of
carpenter, and fell dead of apoplexy.
C. L. Taylor was born in Ohio on December 30, 1854, and died on Oct. 18,
1920-aged 65 years, 9 months, and 19 days. There is no material at our command
for an obituary. His first wife and the mother of his children died in
Clearfield in 1909. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Webb died before her mother and
lies with her mother and father in the family lot in our cemetery.
Mr. Taylor married again, .and since that time has lived in Villisca, Iowa,
where he died. He leaves a widow, a number of children, and
several grandchildren to mourn his loss.
The body arrived here at 1:25 on
Wednesday and interment was made at once in the Clearfield Cemetery Rev.
Douglass in charge of a brief service at the grave.
