OBITUARY - JOYCE MARIE (JOHNSON) TALTY
Joyce Marie TALTY, age 73, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Hospice with Heart Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa, surrounded
by her family.
Joyce was born August 22, 1936, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, to the late Clifford and Genevieve (MITCHELL) JOHNSON. She graduated

Council Bluffs. They were blessed with five children, Jeanine, Joan, Janet, Jerry and Judy. Joyce was a loving wife and
mother whose greatest happiness was spending time with her family. Together with her husband Emmett, of 50 years, they

career that continued 40 years throughout her adulthood, and a love that she passed on to hundreds of students as well
as her own children. She later worked at "Curves" in Council Bluffs, where she enjoyed reconnecting with many of her
former dance students. Joyce was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Nathan Michael.
