American Flag.jpg Robert Glenn TAGGART, son of Robert J. and Evelyn M. TAGGART, was born at Beaconsfield, Iowa, August 25, 1896, and passed away at his home in Ellston, Iowa, October 17, 1941, at the age of 45 years, one month and 21 days.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle Lily FUGATE October 1, 1924. To this union four children were born - Clara Jean, Kenneth Boyd, Louise Evelyn and Elaine Helen.

He spent his entire life in Iowa except about 18 months spent in North Dakota. He served his country during the World War, going to camp at Camp Dodge on September 6, 1918, and received an honorable discharge on January 27, 1919.

He was always of a cheerful disposition and had many friends. He was a man known for his honesty and kindness to all fellow men. Always helping his neighbor in any hour of need. He was a kind and devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by his faithful wife and children.

For the past three years he had been afflicted with heart trouble. He was taken to the Veterans' hospital on March 31, 1939, returning to his home September 26, 1939, where he has been tenderly cared for by his loved ones.

Interment at Ellston Cemetery.
