OBITUARY ~ STEVE ALLEN STRANGE

Steven Allen (Jess) STRANGE, 45, of Eureka, California, died December 20, 1995 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Eureka, California.

Mr. STRANGE was born September 8, 1950 in Creston (Union County), Iowa to Robert F. and Gladys I. (GARDNER) STRANGE.

He grew up in Diagonal and graduation (sic) from Diagonal High School in 1968. He lived in the Osceola area where he worked as a meat cutter and maintenance man for Jimmy Dean Co. He married Kay KELLER on September 25, 1970. They were later divorced. He moved to California ten years ago.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Gladys of Diagonal; three sons, Scott Ray, Rodd Allen, Jasen Lee, all of Allerton, Iowa; and a grandson, Jaleen; a brother, Robert A. (wife Barbara) STRANGE of Mount Ayr, Iowa; and a special nephew, Jimmie STRANGE of Diagonal, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends near and far.

Steven loved the great outdoors. Nature, fishing, hunting, swimming, water skiing and the ocean were his favorites. His body was cremated with the cremains scattered at sea.

A memorial has been established in his name for wild life.
