It gave him pleasure to provide well for his loved ones, and to give them gifts which enriched their lives. The loyalty which he had for his family extended to the friends he made through the years. He and Marietta enjoyed being snow birds as they traveled south during the winter months, which added many acquaintances to their circle of friends.
