OBITUARY ~ MRS. GEORGE W. SEFRIT.

Mary E. HENDRICKS, daughter of George and Sarah HENDRICKS, was born in Topeka, Kansas, December 20, 1871, and departed this life January 5, 1935, at her home in Delphos at the age of 63 years and 16 days. She was the last surviving member of her family of five children.

She came to Clarke county, Iowa, when she was three years of age, residing in Clarke and Lucas counties 40 years, then moving to Ringgold county, where she spent the remainder of her life.

On March 23, 1892, she was united in marriage to George W. SEFRIT. To this union were born ten children - six daughters and four sons - Alma and Harley, precedingher in death. The surviving children are Mrs. Amy SPENCER of Mount Ayr, Mrs. Bessie LEPLEY of Clearfield, Frank and Louie of Delphos, Mrs. Anna BOWEN of New York City, Ms. Audrey SEATON of Perry, Mrs. Vera DEIBERT of Delphos, and William of Albion.

She was a member of the Baptist church of Delphos, to which she was faithful to the time of her death. Her illness covered a period of some ten and one half years, and although at times her suffering was great, yet she bore it patiently and cheefully and demonstrated her fail in assuring her loved ones tha God would take care of them.

She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a good neighbor and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her going her husband, eight children, 11 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Delphos Bapist church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. T. S. RHOADES, assisted by Rev. L. O. HOOKS, conducted the services. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.

The following relatives from a distance were in attendance at the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. C. M. FORNEY of Carson, Mrs. Dora LYNN and Bennie LYNN of Woodburn, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cooley and Bert COOLEY of Chariton, Mr. Lester MANNING and W. C. CATON of Galva, Ill, and Mrs. E. T. BOWMAN of Woodhull, Ill.
