OBITUARY ~ ZULA ALMA (DENNEY) SAVILLE
January 09, 1897 ~ August 02, 1967

Zula Alma Denney, daughter of Hugh Clene and Sarah Jane Denney, was born Jan. 9, 1897, near Redding, Iowa, and departed this life Aug. 2, 1967, in the Ringgold county hospital at the age of 80 years, six months and 24 days.

All of her life was spent near Redding in Ringgold county. She was a longtime member of the Middle Fork Methodist church and a member of her local Women's Society of Christian Service.

On Dec. 5, 1911, she was united in marriage with James Bernard SAVILLE, of Redding. Of this union were born six children - Esther Velma (Mrs. Frank Parker), of Shannon City; Pearl Lavene (Mrs. Oliver Parker), of Diagonal; Hanice Bernadene (Mrs. Denzel Platt0, Of Napa, Calif.; Lee Elvin Saville and Majorie Ruth Saville, of Redding; and, Clyde Elbert Saville, of Broadview, Ill.

She was preceded in deathy by her parents and a grandson, Darrell Lee Parker.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Bernard; six children; three sons-in-law; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susan (Mrs. I. M. Hoffman), of Webster Grove, Mo., and Clara (Mrs. W. J. Jefferson), of Grant City, Mo.; three brothers, Homer and Rowe Denney, of Redding, and Clay Denney, of Mount Ayr; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Aug. 6, from the Rhoades funeral home conducted by the Rev. Clarence Landis, pastor of the Middle Fork Methodist church. Casketbearers were Lloyd Dale, Larry and Doyle Parker, and Gary and Rodney Saville. Interment was in the Redding cemetery.
