OBITUARY.

 Mary Angeline JOHNSTON, daughter of J. W. and Margaret A. JOHNSTON, was born in Lotts Creek township, November 22, 1860, and departed this life May 31, 1919, [aged 58 yrs. 6mos. 9 days] at the home in Riley township, where she has lived for 26 years. February 26, 1882, she was united in marriage to John T. SWIGART who survives her. To this union were born six children - Mrs. Bertha DANIELSON of Scotts Bluff, Neb.; Mrs. Pearl CREVELING of Lebanon Mo.; Mrs. Myrtle WARDRIP of Lamoni; Roy SWIGART of Hatfield, Mo.; Mrs. Grace FOSTER of Scotts Bluff, Neb.; and Ralph SWIGART of Lamoni. All were present except Mrs. DANIELSON and Mrs. FOSTER, who, on account of serious illness in their homes, were unable to be present. She also leaves sixteen grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren., five sisters and three brothers and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.

She cotracted influenza in January and never recovered.

She was a kind mother and will be sadly missed in the home. She united with the Evangelical church about eighteen years ago and remained a member until death.

Funeral services were held at Mount Zion church Wednesday, June 4, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. HENDRICKS of Ringgold Evangelical church. Interment was in Mount Zion cemetery.
