OBITUARY - HELEN (CALDWELL) KNIGHT STULL

Helen STULL, 82, of Mount Ayr died March 15, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Phil CAMPBELL will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. There is open visitation after 10 a.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Mount Ayr Free Methodist Church or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mrs. STULL, daughter of Bernice (KNIGHT) and Burr CALDWELL, was born March 30, 1923, in Kellerton. On February 13, 1943, she married Lyndon Richard KNIGHT in Grant City, Mo. On April 11, 1969, she married Burl STULL in Maryville, Mo. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Burl STULL of Mount Ayr; three daughters, Jacquline (husband Joe) SPARKS of LaQuinta, Calif., Deborah KNIGHT of Mountain View, Mo., and Carmetta BRENNAN of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; stepdaughter Colleen MORRIS of Carter Lake; stepson Bill (wife Faye) STULL of Mount Ayr; two sisters, Evalyn KNAPP of Shawnee, Kan., and Ruby (husband Ken) SCHOONOVER of Raymore, Mo.; brother Ronald CALDWELL of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Becky CALDWELL of Delphos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; three brothers, Rex, Lyle and Jack CALDWELL; and three sisters, Maxine BAGLEY, Ruth CALDWELL and Rowena HUGHES.

OBITUARY ~ HELEN VIRGINIA CALDWELL-STUFF

Helen Virginia CALDWELL-STULL was born March 30, 1923 in Kellerton, Iowa, to Burr and Bernice KNIGHT CALDWELL. Helen was the fifth of 10 children. She grew up in Mount Ayr and on February 13, 1943, she married Lydon Richard KNIGHT. Helen and Lyndon divorced. Helen raised her girls while she worked at a photography studio. Helen and her children later moved back to Redding, Iowa to be closer to her family. There she met and married E. Burl STULL of Mount Ayr, Iowa on April 11, 1969. Helen and Burl loved to travel to Branson, Missouri and camp but at the river. Helen enjoyed going places just so she could watch people. She was very creative and she made crafts and loved her flower garden.

Helen is survived by her husband Burl, her three daughters, Jacquelin S. STEVER-SPARKS and husband, Joe, of LaQuinta, California, Deborah KNIGHT of Mountain View, Missouri and Carmetta BRENNAN of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Shirley Colleen MORRIS of Carter Lake, Iowa; one stepson, Bill STULL, wife Faye, of Mount Ayr, Iowa; two sisters, Ruby SCHOONOVER (Ken) of Raymore, Missouri and Evalyn KNAPP of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; one brother, Ronald CALDWELL of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Becky CALDWERLL of Delphos, Iowa; an aunt, Velma CALDWELL of Urbandale, Iowa; six grandchildren, Christopher STREVER, wife Stephanie, of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly ACUFF, husband Jon, of Atlanta, Georgia, Thadius FLETCHALL, wife Amanda, of Kansas City, Missouri, Tara FLETCHALL, fiance Brian McDANIEL, of Kansas City, Missouri, Matthew FLETCHALL of Kansas City, Missouri, Andrea BRENNAN of Gladstone, Missouri; five stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey MABEN, wife Mary, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Jodie MABEN, wife Lynn, of Lenox, Iowa, John MABEN, wife Karen, of Omaha, Nebraska, Jennifer BITTENBENDER of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Daniel STULL of Mount Ayr, Iowa; nine great-grandchildren, Marianna Gabrielle and Jacqueline Kaylee STREVER, Alexis, Haley, Elius and Trinity FLETCHALL, Dylan PATRICK and Ethan McDANIEL and Nathan FLETCHALL; stepgreat-grandchildren, Carissa and Michael MABEN, Amaji and Zachary MABEN, Jessica and Patricia MABEN, Jessica MABEN, Brandy GORDAN, Danielle and Kayla BITTENBENDER and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Rex, Lyle and Jack and sisters, Maxine BAGLEY, Ruth CALDWELL and Rowena HUGHES.

Services were conducted on Saturday, march 18, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr with Rev. Phil CAMPBELL officiating. Musicians were Ginny EIGHMY, Edna JONES and Neva FISHER.

Casket bearers were Joe SPARKS, Chris STREVER, Thadius FLETCHALL, Matthew FLETCHALL, Jeffery MABEN, Daniel STULL and Brian McDANIELS. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
