OBITUARY ~ MARY C. CRAWFORD STUCKER

Mary C. Crawford was born August 7, 1844 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. L. Terry of Clearfield, on Sunday evening, May 3Oth, 1915. She had reached the age of 70 years and 9 months.

She was married to Elijah Stucker at Washington Iowa, April 11, 1870. They came to Ringgold county in 1870, settling in Lincoln township, where they lived until the death of Mr. Stucker in October 1913. During the 43 years that they labored together on their farm, they accumulated a competence of land and other property.

Two children were born to them, William Sherman, who died in 1888, aged about twenty years; Anna, now Mrs Minor Terry. There are two grandchildren.

Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Stucker had purchased a residence in Clearfield. But her closing days were spent in the home and under the care of her daughter, Mrs Terry.

The funeral services were held at lie residence of M. L. Terry at 2:30 on Tuesday. Pastor Godsall of the Baptist church conducted the servlces.

There was a very large attendance of the friends and neighbors of The past forty-live years, testifying to the general esteem in which this estimable woman was held by those who had known her longest and best. Interment was in the Clearfield Cemetery.
