Mr. STEPHENS became a christian many years ago, and united with the Baptist church at Delphos, Iowa, of which he was a member at the time of his death. He was a home-loving man and was never happier than when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Delphos, Tuesday, October 20, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. C. J. HAMILTON, pastor of the First Baptist church of Mount Ayr. Interment was in the Redding [Fairview] cemetery.
