OBITUARY - AUDRA FERN (MAUDLIN) SMITH

Audra Fern (MAUDLIN) SMITH was born January 14, 1901, at Redding, Iowa. Her parents were James Franklin "Frank" and Gertia Luella (WOLFORD) MAUDLIN. She passed away November 7, at at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Audra was united in marriage with Perry E. SMITH on July 23, 1919, at Grant City [MO]. They made their home near Allendale [Worth County, Missouri]. To this union were born two children: Lois PHILIPS of Grant City and Lela RINEHART of Mount Ayr.

Audra lived almost all of her life in Worth County. During the last thirty years, her home was in Grant City. During this time, she was affectionately known as "Grandma" by her immediate family and friends.

Those who preceded her in dath were her husband, Perry, who passed away on April 27, 1947; her parents; and two brothers, Wilbert and Clarence MAUDLIN.

Audra leaves to mourn her death, two daughters: Lois and Lela; two sons-in-law: Russel PHILLIPS and Homer RINEHART; and one brother, Leonard MAUDLIN of Clearfield, Ia.

Other survivors include three grandchildren: Larry RINEHART and wife, Laura, of Marshalltown, Ia.; Terry RINEHART of Wheeling, Mo.; and Mark RINEHART of Amarillo, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley RINEHART, besides a host of other relvatives, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services were at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Homes Tuesday, November 9, at 2 p.m. with pastor Joyce HOLLEY of the United Methodist Church presiding. Music was provided by keith and Mary K. LAMBERT. The casketbearers were Clyde RINEHART, Claud RINEHART, Bill WASHBURN, Merle DRAKE, Ellis MAUDLIN and Elvin ROBERTSON. Burial was in the Kirk Cemetery [Allendale, MO].
