OBITUARY - FRANCES H. SHOEMAKER

Frances H. SHOEMAKER, 97, of West Des Moines, formerly of Tingley, Ellston and Beaconsfield, died Sept. 14, 2002 at Fountain West Care Center in West Des Moines.

Mrs. SHOEMAKER, daughter of Hattie Jane (GOFF) and Fred R. TRISLER, was born Sept. 21, 1904 near Garden Grove [Decatur County, Iowa]. She was married to Malvern SHOEMAKER. She was a homemaker, and lived in Ellston, Beaconsfield and Tingley from the early 1930's to 1995, when she moved to Fountain West Care Center. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tingley and site council which started the Tingley meal site.

Survivors include three daughters, Alberta RITTER of Des Moines, Maxine McGINN of Newton and Rosemary (husband Clayton) CARTER of Afton, a son Dean SHOEMAKER, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Clarence and two sisters, Adaline and Zelma.

Interment at Ellston Cemetery, Ellston, Ringgold County, Iowa.
