OBITUARY - EDITH SCOTT, BROKEN BOW RESIDENT, 92

BROKEN BOW Edith Pearl SCOTT, 92, of Broken Bow died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow [NE].

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Govier Brothers Mortuary Chapel in Broken Bow with LeRoy SANFORD and Alfred BROADY officiating. Burial will be at Dry Valley Cemetery north of Ansley. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Edith was born May 22, 1908, at Duff to David D. and Pearl (OGDEN) JAMES.

On Feb. 5, 1937, she married Robert P. SCOTT at Burwell. They farmed in several various communities and lived several years northwest of Sargent. They later moved near Kellerton, Iowa, and returned to Broken Bow in 1988. Her husband died June 14, 2000.

Survivors include her nephew, Richard JAMES of Issaquah, Wash.; niece, Judy GRUBER of Sargent; brother-in-law, Samuel SCOTT of Broken Bow; and sisters-in-law, Guyneth ORVIS of Broken Bow and Avis GUGGENMOS of Ogallala and Esther SCOTT of Broken Bow.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
