OBITUARY - RUTH L. (WIMER) SALTZMAN

1920 - 2010

IOWA FALLS - Ruth L. SALTZMAN, 89, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Denver, died Wednesday, March 31, at home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Mount Ayr, daughter of John and Frances SMITH WIMER. She married Leslie F. SALTZMAN on Sept. 30, 1939, in Waterloo. He died May 5, 2007.

Mrs. SALTZMAN was employed at Kettner's Clothiers in Waverly, the Conway Civic Center and did tailoring out of her home. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Denver.

Survived by: two sons, Dennis (Claudia) of Iowa Falls and Donald (Cindy) of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Dee (Curt) ADOLPHSON of Solon, Kelli (Treg) JAMESSON of Keystone and Dr. Ryan (Jeri) SALTZMAN of Gilbert; and eight great-grandchildren, Jack and Jenna ADOLPHSON, Cale and Lanie JAMESSON and Maura, Nathan, Maria and Anna SALTZMAN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Howard WIMER; and five sisters, Leona WIMER, Irene CRIGLER, Alice FLETCHER, Gladys COLLINS and Helen HEGLAND.

Private family graveside Services: Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home.

Memorials: may be directed to the Denver Public Library.

An avid reader, Ruth enjoyed golfing with her friends and helping out wherever she was needed.
