OBITUARY ~ JUNE MARDALE (LILES) RINEHART

June 02, 1929 ~ November 07, 2011

June Mardale (LILES) RINEHART was born June 2, 1929 to Jay and Opal Liles of Mount Ayr. She departed this life on November 7, 2011 at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr surrounded by family and friends.

June graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School. On August 19, 1950, she was united in marriage to Clayton (Bill) RINEHART of Mount Ayr at the United Methodist Church in Mount Ayr. To this union was born two daughters; Debra K. SOBOTKA of DeSota, IA and Deva K. ROSS of Fort Madison, IA.

June and Bill lived on a farm south of Mount Ayr for 45 years and then moved to Mount Ayr in November 1997, where they both lived out their lives. Bill passed away on May 2, 2001.

June worked at the cap factory for 10 years. She and Bill were avid bowlers in the Mount Ayr league and traveled to many bowling tournaments. She loved to garden and make quilts for family and friends. June loved to play dominoes, pokeno, and play cards.

June is survived by her two daughters Debra (Jerry) SOBOTKA and Deva ROSS; grandchildren Mike (Robin) SOBOTKA, Zeke (Shawna) ROSS, Aaron (Alisha) ROSS, and Jimmy (Chasta) ROSS; great-grandchildren Jacob, Summer, Robbie, Beau SOBOTKA, Aniah, Cuyrin, Nakia, Quinton, Jaden, Keelyno, and Kalib ROSS; sisters Lorraine REASONER and Lola WERNLI; brother Ronald (Sue) LILES; sisters-in-law Shirley LILES, Ann LILES, and Iris (Gary) WEBB; brothers-in-law Earl (Eddie) PICKENS and Park (Joan) RINEHART; and a host of nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her husband Bill; parents; sisters Myrtle LILES and Donna PICKENS; brothers Bob and George Liles; brothers-in-law Leroy WERNLI and Daughn REASONER; parents-in-law Vern and Nina RINEHART; sister and brother-in-law Hope and Billy WYMAN; niece Candy PICKENS; nephew James WERNLI.

June was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and friend to many people. She will truly be missed.

A memorial fund has been established to HCI Care Services in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Graveside service was held November 10 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa where interment was made. Rev. Terry ROBERTS officiated the service.

Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of arrangements.
