She was interested in the Creston Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.), was a long time Avon representative, a member of the Platte Center Church, Presbyterian Women, a member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and liked spending time helping on the home farm through the years.

Preceding her in death were her beloved mother and father.
