OBITUARY ~ CLIFFORD MILTON PETERSON
July 24, 1926 ~ February 25, 2008
Clifford Milton Peterson was born July 24, 1926 in Union county, Iowa, and passed away February 25, 2008 at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa
at the age of 81 years, seven months, and one day. He was born the son of Harry and Minnie Marie (Kohnlechner) Peterson. He grew up on the farm and farmed

staying busy doing things for other people, plowing gardens, mowing lawns and whatever anyone needed done. He traveled a lot for the railroad so when he

Saint Louis, Missouri, Chris Carrico of Murray, Iowa, Alana Carrico of Osceola, Iowa, and Tabby Welcher of Thayer, Iowa; three stepgrandchildren, Kevin
Gibbens of Creston, Iowa, Brian Zimmerman of Creston, Iowa and Rodger Zimmerman of Creston, Iowa; three great-grandchildren, Cory Howard of Saint Louis,
Missouri, Skyler Carrico of Osceola, Iowa, and Ryan Thomas of Osceola, Iowa; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Maddie Zimmerman of South Dakota, Dereck
Zimmerman of Creston, Iowa and Crystal Zomora of Creston, Iowa; two sisters, Leota James and husband Paul of Murray, Iowa and Leona Holland of Murry, Iowa;
one brother, Henry Peterson of Mount Ayr, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services were conducted at the Methodist church in
Hopeville, Iowa on Friday, February 29, 2008 with Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiating. Special musical selections were "In The Garden" and "The Long Black Train."
Casket bearers were Chris Carrico, Brian Peterson, Cory Howard, Rodger Zimmerman, Brian Zimmerman and Kevin Gibbens.
Honorary pallbearers were
Tom James, Dick Rutledge, Delbert Welcher, Melvin Davis, Lane Davis and Elva Sheets.
Clifford was laid at rest in the Hopeville Cemetery, Hopeville.
