OBITUARY ~ KENNETH A. PARKER, HUMBOLDT

Kenneth A. PARKER, 65, of Humboldt, formerly of Diagonal and Lenox, died Aug. 22, 2001, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27 at the United Church of Diagonal. The Rev. Karen GARRISON will officiate. Burial will be in the North Fairview Cemetery at Lenox. There is open visitation after 1 p.m. Sunday with family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal.

Mr. PARKER, son of Ruby (FRAZIER) and Archie PARKER, was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Diagonal. On Dec. 11, 1955, he married Sharon L. PANTRY at Lenox. He was a retired farmer and welder. He lived in Lenox and Diagonal before moving to Humboldt in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon PARKER of Humboldt; two sons, Ted (wife Brenda) PARKER of Cherokee and Kirk (wife Bridget) PARKER of Des Moines; two daughters, Diana (husband Paul) FORD and Teresa STAVER, all of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Calvin and Alvin; and two sisters, Nadine and Marcia LETT.
