A private family service is to be held Friday for Miss Myrtle PARKER, 83, former Clarinda teacher, who died Tuesday [January 21, 1970] about noon at the Gillespie Nuring Home where she has been a resident since 1964.

She was [a] teacher here in [the] early 20's. Later she was [a] bookkeeper for the Lake Motor Co. here, then at Malvern and at Seattle, Wash., before retiring and coming back to Clarinda in 1959. She made her home with her sister, the late Mrs. Lois OWEN.
