OBITUARY - MABEL STILL-RUSK

Mabel STILL-RUSK, the daughter of J. M. and Mary STILL, was born at Leon, Iowa, December 11, 1894, and died at the home of her mother in Leon, Iowa, Monday evening, January 10, 1916, at the age of 21 years, and one month lacking one day. Miss STILL grew to womanhood's estate in the home community. She was a member of the First Day Advent Church of this city. There being no services at her own church, she was active in the services of the Christian Church, and especially in the service of song. We who received her ministry in days gone by are called upon today to return that ministry in last respects to her and in a service of comfort and hope to the bereaved.

She was united in marriage to EARL RUSK, January 17, 1915. With her husband she made her home at Mount Ayr, Iowa. To this union a babe was born, October 24, 1915. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her mother, the babe, D. N. STILL, Fieldsburg, Cal.; Mrs. Bert BALLOU, Kellerton, Iowa; Mrs. Albert FARNES, Broadview, Mont.; Mrs. Guy BRENER, Newton, Iowa; Jim STILL, Leon, Iowa; Joe STILL, Broadview, Mont.; Roy STILL, Clarinda, Iowa; and Nina, of Leon, Iowa, and a host of friends who have been drawn near to her because of her beautiful disposition and queenly Christian character. We believe that our sister departed this life firm in her faith in God, her Father, and Christ, her elder Brother.

The funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church at 1:20 p.m., January 12, 1916, by the Pastor, Henry Esch.

Earl H. RUSK, of Mount Ayr, and Miss Mabel STILL, of Leon, were united in marriage at the Methodist Parsonage last Sunday noon, the ceremony being read by Reverend Guy J. FANSHER, Pastor of the Leon M.E. Church. A number of relatives and friends of the bride and groom accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. RUSK intend to make their home in Mount Ayr where the groom works at the carpenter's trade. We extend best wishes for a happy married life.

NOTE: Mabel's father J. M. STILL was born February 2, 1854, Decatur County, Iowa, and died August 30, 1915, Leon, Decatur County, Iowa, with interment at Leon Cemetery.
