DEATH of GRANDMA ROSS.

Died, at her late home in Mt. Ayr, at 1:30 Wednesday morning, after a lingering illness consequent upon old age, Mrs. Martha A. ROSS, wife of Thos. ROSS, Esq., aged 66 years, 9 months and 26 (sic) days. Grandma ROSS was born in Scott county, Ky., November 19, 1821. She was married to her bereaved husband on October 27, 1839 in Sangamon county, Ill. They moved to Iowa in August, 1844, settling in Wapello county, and removed to Ringgold county, settling in Mt. K., Charley and George; and one daughter, Mrs. E. VORPE, to mourn her loss, besides a grief stricken companion who is now compelled to travel the weary path of life alone. One son, Thos., Jr., died here in 1872, and four children in infancy. The funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning, conducted by Father ANDREWS.
