OBITUARY ~ THELMA VIOLA (STEVENS) RIDNOUR

Thelma Viola RIDNOUR, 88, of New Market, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 28, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, Kentucky. Thelma Viola was born March 21, 1911, at Shambaugh, Iowa, to Clyde and Gertrude Alice MARTIN STEVENS. July 4, 1927, she was united in marriage to Neeley RIDNOUR who preceded her in death December 21, 1991.

She worked at Parris & Dunn and retired from Lisle Corporation after 27 years.

Survivors include daughter, Phyllis SINGLETON of Erlanger, Kentucky, daughter Marcia HICKMAN and husband Dwight of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, son Lyle RIDNOUR of Hot Springs, Arkansas, daughter-in-law Gladys RIDNOUR of Shambaugh, Iowa, son-in-law George DOUTHIT of Clarinda, Iowa, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sisters Wilma STEEVE and husband Elmer of Rancho Cucumonga, California, and Gartha FREDRICKSON of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, daughter, Mary Lou DOUTHIT, son Stanley RIDNOUR, and son-in-law Charles C. SINGLETON.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 1, 2000, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Russ Clark officiating. Burial was in Memory Cemetery.
