OBITUARY - DOYLE MARION REYNOLDS

Doyle Marion REYNOLDS, 72, of Burlington, died at 3:20 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab Center in Mediapolis.

Born December 5, 1931, in Tingley, he was the son of Manson and Alberta D. (SMITH) REYNOLDS. On July 24, 1976, he married Elnora JONES in West Burlington.

Mr. REYNOLDS worked for Leopold Desk Co. for 17 years and was a display merchandiser for Montgomery Ward Co. for 16 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a 1948 graduate of Tingley High School. He was of the Methodist faith and loved woodworking and all sports.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda PETERS of Surprise, Ariz., and Diane HARTWIG of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; one son, William REYNOLDS of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three stepsons, Gary LORD and Jeff LORD, both of Mediapolis, and Richard LORD of Burlington; two stepdaughters, Mary MELLINGER and Nancy AQUINO, both of Burlington; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; five step-great–grandchildren; three brothers, Dean REYNOLDS of Paulsbo, Wash., Darrell REYNOLDS of Katy, Texas, and Daniel REYNOLDS of Mount Ayr; and two sisters, Darlene KELLY of Afton and Doris Marcene ALLAWAY of Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service Thursday.

The funeral for Mr. REYNOLDS will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Dan BAKER officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
