OBITUARY - DOROTHY (JAMES) RANDOLPH

Dorothy RANDOLPH, 82, of Napierville, Ill., formerly of Mount Ayr, died March 29, 2004, at Aldens Nursing Home in Napierville, Ill.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, south of Mount Ayr. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Hickory Grove Church.

Mrs. RANDOLPH, daughter of Gussie (ARNOLD) and William JAMES, was born October 5, 1921, in Lafayette, Colo. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School and attended college in Aurora, Ill., and Graceland University in Lamoni receiving a master's degree in special education. She married Clifford "Buss" RANDOLPH at the Hickory Grove Church, south of Mount Ayr. She was a preschool and elementary teacher for many years.

Survivors include a son, James (wife Susan) RANDOLPH of Bolingbrook, Ill.; a daughter, Becky HANES of Woodridge, Ill.; a sister, Esther HACKER of Mount Ayr; a brother, Lawrence JAMES of Marysville, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
