The Mount Ayr Record-News, 1922

DEATH of MRS. W. H. PRICE.

WIMBLEDON (N.D.) NEWS: Mrs. W. H. PRICE passed away at her farm home at 10:30 Monday evening stricken with heart failure. She had been ill for only a few days and the news of her death came as a shock to the entire community. She was forty-seven years of age.

The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. M. HEWSON. Music was rendered by a special choir and Mrs. R. E. BANGER sang a solo. The large edifice was crowded with people. Mr. HEWSON spoke at length of her character and her untiring devotion to her duty and stated that early in life she recognized the need of God in her life, joining the United Brethern church. A little over a year ago she joined the U. P. church here. A long procession followed the remains to Prairieview cemetery where interment was made.

Mrs. W. H. PRICE, nee Minnie E. JONES, was born at Mount Ayr, Iowa, on July 30, 1874. She was married there to W. H. PRICE on February 7, 1890. They continued their residence in Iowa until eighteen years ago, coming to North Dakota in the spring of 1904, settling on a farm near Wimbledon. They have resided here ever since.

Besides her husband the deceased is survived by eight children, four boys and four girls. They are: Roy PRICE, of Wimbledon; Lyle PRICE, of Jamestown; Mrs. Earl SCHILSON, of Jamestown; Mrs. George JOHNSON, of Jamestown; and Mrs. Clinton BARNINGHAM, Dayle, Elizabeth and Homer PRICE, of Wimbledon. The deceased is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: A. M. JONES, of Diagonal, Iowa; George JONES, of Lebanon, Mo.; Charley JONES, of Seattle, Wash.; Stephen JONES, of Modesto, Cal.; Mrs. Simon SALTZMAN, of Mount Ayr, Iowa; and Mrs. John ERSKINE, of Lebanon, Ore.
