OBITUARY - MRS. W. A. POORE.

Lucy Poore gravestone.jpg Lucy Ann LOWDER, daughter of Abner L. and Katherine LOWDER, was born in Monroe county, Iowa, February 23, 1860, and departed this life at her home near Beaconsfield, Iowa, on April 26, 1928, age 68 years, two months and three days.

She was united in marriage to W. A. POORE May 17, 1891. She is survived by her husband, five children, three step-children, six grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.

The five children are Pearley, Alvin, Ralph and Orville POORE, all of Beaconsfield, and Mrs. Chas. E. COLE, of Sutton, Neb.

Mrs. POORE united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Redding, Iowa, in 1891, but later transferred her membership to the Beaconsfield Methodist church in which she continued a faithful and consistent member until the last. She was devoted to her home and family and her life was one of loving service to others and her friends were numbered by all who knew her.

The funeral was from the Beaconsfield Methodist church on April 28 and in charge of Rev. SOELBERG, the pastor. Burial was in the Redding (sic, should be Forest Home) cemetery.
