OBITUARY

Vera PIERCE was born Aug. 26, 1901, the daughter of Homer and Edith (BEADLE) STEVENS, near Clearfield in Ringgold county, Iowa, and departed this life January 2, 1974.

On July 14, 1920 she was united in marriage with Shafter HARRIMAN, who preceded her in death in 1962. Of this union were born two daughters, Verla Dean OREN of Beaverton, Oregon, and Virginia SKINNER of Eagle Creek, Oregon.

Her earlier life was lived in Iowa and she moved to Oregon in January of 1943.

On Oct. 28, 1948. she became a member of the Parkrose Christian Church, where she was a loyal worker. She met and later married Donald PIERCE on Sept. 26, 1965. They moved in January, 1969, to Eagle Creek, Ore., where they attended the Estacada Christian Church, but their hearts were always with their many friends at the Parkrose Christian Church. She loved her home, garden and flowers, with which she always had a special flare. They, in turn, reflected the special care she gave them, even as her life did in the works and faith in Christ our Lord.

Besides the members of her immediate family, she is survived by five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, who live in Iowa.

Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, Oregon.
