OBITUARY - MRS. W. E. PHILLIPPIE.

Mrs. Rozetta [Belle] GARTIN PHILLIPPIE was born August 25, 1867 in Lucas county, Iowa, and died January 1, 1923, aged fifty-five years, four months and six days.

In March, 1887, she was united in marriage to William E. PHILLIPPIE. To this union were born four children - Elmer E., Roy L., George W., and Virgil M. George W. died at Camp Dodge during the "flu" epidemic.

Sister PHILLIPPIE united with the Fry Chapel Methodist Church in 1907. She was a semi-invalid for several years. Midst her physical weakness she remained kind, sweet and loving. She was a friend, a good neighbor, a helper.

She leaves to mourn her gather, three brothers, the husband and three sons, eight grand children and an orphan girl, Nellie RITTER, who has been in the home for eight years, and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Kellerton, Tuesday at eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev. BENNETT and interment was made at Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.

NOTE: William Edward PHILLIPPIE, husband of Rozetta (GARTIN), was born in July, 1861, and died on March 23, 1935 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa. George W., son of Rozetta (GARTIN) and William Edward PHILLIPPIE, was born on January 26, 1893, and died October 17, 1918 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
