OBITUARY - WANDA V. (BOLINGER) PETERSON
September 19, 1924 - March 13, 2007
Wanda PETERSON, 82, of Creston, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston. Services will be
10:30 AM Friday at the Salem Lutheran Church in Creston. Pastor Nathan AASENG will officiate the service. Burial will be
at Graceland Cemetery. Open visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday
at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Memorials are to the Salem Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left under the

Wanda V. PETERSON was born September 19, 1924 in Ringgold Co. Iowa to Emma Faye (GATES) and Edward Issaac BOLINGER. She
graduated from Mt. Ayr High School in 1942. On December 6, 1944 she was united in marriage to Willard Carl PETERSON in
Creston. She lived all of her married life in the Creston area, where they farmed from 1945 until 1980 and Wanda was a
homemaker, moving into town in 1973. In 1977 Wanda, together with Willard managed Regency Park, retiring in 1987. Wanda
is a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Creston.
Survivors include her husband Willard PETERSON of Creston; two sons: Gary (wife Carol) PETERSON and Gail (wife Roxi)
PETERSON, both of Creston; two sisters: LaVon KOLBE of Houston, TX; Pauline WILLIAMS of Sacramento, Calif.; four
sisters-in law: Margaret BOLINGER of Creston; Dorothy VRUNGOS of Los Angeles, Calif.; Linnea (husband Don) LEVINE of Los
Angeles, Calif.; Virginia PETERSON of Ramona, Calif.; one brother in-law: Dean (wife Helen) PETERSON of St. Louis, Mo.;
six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Clair and Howard
BOLINGER and three sisters: Wilma COCHRAN, Linda Kay BOLINGER and Maxine HARTMAN.
