OBITUARY - VINCENT C. "JACK" PATTERSON

1912 - 2007

Vincent C. "Jack" PATTERSON of Delta [CO] died Monday, January 22, 2007, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was 94.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, from 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Delta. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Michaelís Catholic Church with Reverend Paul MONTEZ officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford [CO].

Mr. PATTERSON was born March 18, 1912, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Lloyd and Myrtle (BRAMAN [sic, should be BRAMON]) PATTERSON. He spent his childhood in Mount Ayr, Iowa, graduating from Mount Ayr High School in 1930.

He married Mary KEENAN on June 7, 1939, in Paonia. They would have celebrated 68 years of marriage together this summer.

She survives.

Mr. PATTERSON was a postal carrier for the United States government in Sydney, Neb., for many years. He lived in Crawford for over 23 years before moving to Delta three years ago. He was a member of St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Delta and Hotchkiss Elks Lodge #1807. He enjoyed building homes and his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary PATTERSON of Delta; a son and his wife, Ralph and Linda PATTERSON of Bullhead City, Ariz.; a daughter and her husband, Kathy and Don STUART of Great Falls, Mont.; two brothers and their wives, Elton and Leona PATTERSON of Grand Junction, and Bill and Margo PATTERSON of Ukiah, Calif.; a sister, June GUDITUS of Willits, Calif.; two grandchildren, Michael PATTERSON of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Vincent PATTERSON and his wife Shannon of Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Zack PATTERSON and Trace PATTERSPM of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. PATTERSON was preceded in death by a brother, John PATTERSON; and a sister, Mary LONNBERG.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Delta County Chapter, P.O. Box 474, Grand Junction, CO 81502.
