OBITUARY - MRS. IONZA PARSHALL.
Mrs. Ionza PARSHALL, widow of J. K. PARSHALL, passed from this life October 8, 1931, at the home of her brother, T. J.
STEPHENS in Redding.
Ionza STEPHENS, daughter of Azariah and Clara STEPHENS, was born in Greene county, Pennsylvania,
December 8, 1845. She became a christian in her early years, uniting with the Baptist church, of which denomination she
remained a loyal and faithful member throughout her life.
She came to Iowa in 1880 and on December 19, 1894, was married
to J. K. PARSHALL. Mr. PARSHALL's death occurred January 24, 1917.
Mrs. PARSHALL was in ill health during her later
years, her illness being due to a weak heart. What she lacked physically she made up through an indomitable will and a
valiant Christian courage. While suffering bodily infirmity herself, she sought to bring comfort and cheer to others, and
now those whom she befriended bless her memory.
She is survived by one son, S. S. STEPHENS of Delphos, Iowa; two
brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Mary L. WRIGHT of San Diego, Calif., Stacy STEPHENS of Delphos, Iowa, T[homas]. J. STEPHENS
of Redding, Iowa, and Mrs. R. M. BOWLBY of Beaconsfield, Iowa; also by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Sabbath afternoon, October 11, in the Clearfield, Iowa, United Presbyterian church. They
were conducted by Rev. J. C. HAMILTON, Baptist minister at Mount Ayr, Iowa, who was assisted by Rev. Jesse WRIGHT, a nephew
of the deceased, and by H. B. HUTCHMAN, United Presbyterian minister at Clearfield. Interment was in Redding cemetery.
NOTE: Ionza (STEPHENS) PARSHALL was interred at Fairview Cemetery,
Ringgold County, Iowa.

OBITUARY ~ INEZ (STEPHENS) PASCHALL
Mrs. Inez Parshall died Thursday evening October 8 at the home of her brother, T. J. Stephens in Redding after a long illness. Inez Stephens was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, December 11, 1845. She came to Ringgold county, Iowa in 1880, and on Dec. 19th, 1894 was married to Jerry Parshall of Clearfield, and had since made her home here. She was taken to the home of her brother several months ago to be cared for during her illness. The body was brought to her home in Clearfield by undertaker, J. R. Crew and funeral services were conducted in the United Presbyterian church, Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, in charge of Rev. J. C. Hamilton of the Mt. Ayr Baptist church, assisted by Rev. H. B. Hutchman, pastor of the Clearfield United Presbyterian church, and Rev. Jesse Wright, pastor of the Baptist church in Farmington, la. Mr. Wright is a nephew of Mrs. Parshall. Interment was made in the Redding cemetery.
Mrs. Parshall became a Christian early in life and joined the Baptist church to which she remained to the end. After the church of her choice was disbanded,she attended Sabbath School and church at the United Presbyterian church.
Her husband died in 1917, since which time she made a home for her step-son, Charley Parshall in the old home. She leaves to mourn her going 2 brothers, T. J. Stephens of Redding, and Stacey Stephens of Delphos; one son S. S. Stephens of Delphos; two sisters, Mrs. R. M. Rowley of Beaconsfield, la. and Mrs. Mary Wright of San Diego, Calif.
