OBITUARY - DONALD PAUL LEE PALMER

Donald Paul Lee PALMER, age 23, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at Ellston, Iowa.

Services were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 20 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton with Rev. Scott FIEGE officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton. Karen KRUSEN was the organist for the service and the congregation sang, "If You But Trust In God To Guide You" and "How Sweet The Name of Jesus Sounds". A prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Donald was born September 18, 1980, in Onawa, Iowa. He was employed at Missouri Valley Steel of Sioux City, Iowa, as a welder.

Survivors include his grandparents, Bob and Connie ROSSOW of Mapleton, Iowa and Marilyn PALMER of Washta, Iowa; his father, Jeffrey PALMER, also of Washta; his mother, Sheryl PALMER of Mapleton; sister, Jill WAGNER and her husband, Dan, of Sioux City, Iowa; sister, Lisa PALMER of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Robert PALMER and his fiance', Ann Van VOORST of Smithland, Iowa; as well as nieces and nephew, Aubree and Sam WAGNER of Sioux City, and Gabriella PALMER of Smithland. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Donald PALMER, for whom he was named.

Honorary pallbearers were Welsey GRAY, Corey THIELER, Heath KROLL and Chance PALMER.

Pallbearers were Dan WAGNER, Jesse Vanden BOSCH, Jeremy PALMER, Travis GRAY, Josh CASTLE and Eddie GRAY.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton.
