OBITUARY - GENEVIEVE CARMETA (ADAMS) PAGE
Genevieve Carmeta PAGE of Atlantic, formerly of Mount Ayr and Emerson, daughter of Lewis ADAMS and Hazel (BAKER) ADAMS,
was born April 13, 1920 in Harrison County, Missouri and departed this life on February 9, 2007 at the age of 86 at
Atlantic Nursing and Rehab.
She attended school in Ringgold County and graduated from Redding High School with the class of 1938. On August 30,
1939, she was united in marriage to Albert M. PAGE. To this union two children were born, a son James and a daughter
For several years she worked at Glenwood State Hospital School, Glenwood, Iowa and Valley Grocery Store at Emerson,
Iowa. She enjoyed singing, playing the harmonica, and listening to music. One of her greatest joys was seeing her
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert M. PAGE, her parents Lewis and Hazel ADAMS, sisters Bernadean HRIBAL
and Lillian SKINNER, brothers Eugene, Raleigh and Russell ADAMS, and a son-in-law Sherwood BEHRENS.
She is survived by her son James and wife Stella of Shenandoah, her daughter Ann BEHRENS of Atlantic, 3 grandsons
John BEHRENS and wife Elsa of Atlantic, James BEHRENS and wife Angela of Atlantic, and Mark PAGE and wife Stephanie
of Colorado, 10 great-grandchildren, Page, Alyssa, Joel, Tyler, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Lucas, Abigail, Zachary and
Vanessa; sisters Pauline ADKISSON of Diagonal and Nola SWIETLIK of Mount Ayr, brothers Delbert ADAMS of Creston and
Doyle ADAMS of Knoxville, a brother-in-law Willard SKINNER of Arkansas, and many other relatives, nieces, nephews,
Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007, Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Genevieve PAGE, 86, of Atlantic, formerly of Mount Ayr and Emerson, died February 9, 2007, at Atlantic Nursing and Rehab
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St.,
Mount Ayr. The Rev. Charles WEIMAN will officiate the service. Burial will be in Benton Cemetery. Open visitation will be
after 10 a.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may

Genevieve PAGE, daughter of Hazel (BAKER) and Lewis ADAMS, was born April 13, 1920, in Harrison County, Mo. She graduated
from Redding High School in 1938. On Aug. 30, 1939, Genevieve married Albert M. PAGE. She worked several years at Glenwood
State Hospital and Valley Grocery in Emerson.
Survivors include two children, James (wife Stella) PAGE of Shenandoah and Ann BEHRENS of Atlantic; two sisters, Pauline
ADKISSON of Diagonal and Nola SWIETLIK of Mount Ayr; two brothers, Delbert ADAMS of Creston and Doyle ADAMS of Knoxville;
brother-in-law Willard SKINNER of Arkansas; three grandsons, John (wife Elsa) BEHRENS, James (wife Angela) BEHRENS and Mark
(wife Stephanie) PAGE; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters,
