The Pioneer, Pine City, Minnesota
September 1928

MRS. PACHA DIES; BURIAL TODAY

Marie.jpg Funeral services are to be held this afternoon from the Methodist church in this city for Mrs. Jos. PACHA aged 65 years who died at the Swedish hospital in Minneapolis on Sept. 11th following an operation. Rev. CLARK will officiate and interment will be in the Pine City cemetery.

Mary DOLECHECK was born in Klasterec, Bohemia, August 10th, 1863. When a girl of about three years of age she came to this country with her parents and they settled in Ringold (sic) Co., Ia., near Diagonal. There she remained until she grew up. In 1888 (sic, should be Feb. 22, 1887) she was united in marriage to Vencel KARSKY and for a time after their marriage the family resided in Missouri. After two years in Missouri the family returned to Iowa where she remained until coming to Pine City 9 years ago. Six children blessed this union, Mary, Mrs. H. GARD of Diagonal, Rose, (deceased), Fred of Pine City, Charles of McGrath, Anna, Mrs. Dick RUBY (deceased), and John of this city [Pine City, MN].

In 1902 she married John SHIMEK (sic, should be Jan Evangelista SIMEK, married September 4, 1900), who lived but three years after their marriage. Of this union two children were born Tillie, Mrs. Otto SCHWARTZ, and Jos SHIMEK, both of this place.

In 1907 a third marriage was consummated, this time to to Jos. PACHA [her cousin, married December 28, 1904], who with one child, Martha, Mrs. Roland JONS of Des Moines survive.

Besides the children of each marriage and her husband, she leaves two brothers, John and Joseph DOLECHECK of Diagonal, Iowa.

A sister Mrs. Anna RICKER died in Iowa some years ago. Mrs. GARD and John DOLECHECK of Diagonal were expected here from Iowa and the other children will attend the funeral if possible.

Since coming here Mrs. PACHA has lived a retired life, deeply devoted to her family.

The Pioneer joins with friends of the bereaved ones in extending sympathy.
