OBITUARY - CLARENCE ALBERT NEISEMIER

Clarence NEISEMIER, 80, of Thayer died January 29, 2007, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave., Creston. The Rev. Dwayne HENRICHS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Lorimor Cemetery. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are to be established in his name. Clarence Albert NEISEMIER, son of Georgia Bernadine (CARNS) and Christian Lawrence NEISEMIER, was born December 23, 1926, in Thayer. He graduated from Thayer High School in 1944. On May 20, 1947, Clarence married Edith Ann NEFF at Winterset. Clarence farmed all of his life, living first near Lorimor, then in 1972 moved near Thayer. He retired in 1998 and moved to Osceola in June 2001 and Diagonal in February 2004. He was a former member of Lorimor United Methodist Church, Union County Saddle Club, Union County Fair Board, Farm and Home Administration Board and Afton Farmers Cooperative.

Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl (husband John) WHITTINGTON of Diagonal; son Gary (wife Elaine) NEISEMIER of Junction, Texas; brother Lester NEISEMIER of Bellville, Texas; sister-in-law Pauline NEISEMIER of Murray; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Jay (wife Darla) NEISEMIER and Wyatt of Bryan Texas, Katherine NEISEMIER of College Station, Texas, J.P. (wife Amy) WHITTINGTON and Alaina of Diagonal, Chris (husband Don) NIPPERT and Rose and Cord of Villisca, and Clint (wife Aleha) WHITTINGTON and Hayley, Hope and Harper of Diagonal; and many nieces nephews and friends.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Minnie NEISEMIER; two brothers, Fred and Leo NEISEMIER; and sister-in-law Gertrude NEISEMIER.
