Inez Clara NEFF, daughter of William and Otta "Ottie" HAILEY, was born December 22, 1906. Inez passed away with pneumonia at Albany Hospital, Albany, Missouri, February 1, 2001, at the age of 94 years, one month and 10 days.

On July 4, 1928, she was united in marriage to Virgel Harley NEFF. To this union was born four children: Donald of Des Moines, Iowa, James of Grant City, Missouri, Dennis of Runnells, Iowa and Marilyn of St. Joseph, Missouri.

She leaves to mourn nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys BROOKS of St. Joseph, Missouri and Ruby DUDLEY of Creston, Iowa; sister-in-law Delma HAILEY and brother-in-law Bill DUDLEY; and many relatives and friends.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgel; grandson Doyle Allen NEFF; brother Burt HAILEY; half-brother Lloyd HAILEY and half-sister Ethel LeGUERRIER.

Inez belonged to the First Baptist Church of Grant City, Missouri, and the Sunshine Club of the Allendale-Grant City vicinity. She was a homemaker, living on farms in the Grand River, Iowa, Mount Ayr, Iowa and Allendale, Missouri areas until retiring to the town of Grant City.

Inez was a beautiful seamstress working for the Pixie clothing store, doing altering and mending. She was an avid quilter, making quilts, all hand stitched for all her children and grandchildren. Each stitch was a stitch of love. She sewed for her family and many people in the surrounding area. She made numerous wedding dresses; no task was too big for her.

Inez was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 4, 2001, at the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri. Reverend Gale JUHL officiated.
