Grace Moser, daughter of Ray and Frances L. (Mathews) McCauslin, was born February 11, 1924 at New Hampton, Iowa. Grace graduated from high school and received her teaching degree from Iowa State University in Ames. She taught home economics at Mount Ayr from 1946 until 1961. Grace had an influence on a lot of kids.
Grace married Henry Moser on August 4, 1951 in Omaha, Nebraska. To this union, one son, Mike Edward, was born. Grace is a member of the Mount Ayr United Methodist Church and P.E.O. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting dinner parties and playing cards. After Henry passed away, Grace would eventually move to Clearview Estates and later to Clearview Home.
Grace passed away on August 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry on November 24, 2008; son Mike Edward Moser on March 14, 1994; sister Jean Ann Hansen; niece Sue Norgaard.
Survivors include her brother Jim McCauslin of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law Russ Hansen of Rochester, MN; nephews Max McCauslin and Mark McCauslin; niece Betsy Mehl; other relatives and friends.
A memorial fund has been established for a scholarship fund at the Mount Ayr Community High School.
Services will be held at the Armstrong Funeral Home at Mount Ayr, Iowa on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Skip Rushing officiating.
Casketbearers will be Kevin Glick, Roger Walter, Eric Walter, David Freed, Dick Still and Mick Still. Honorary pallbearers are David Norgaard and Gabe Norgaard.
Burial is in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr, Iowa.
