OBITUARY ~ CLARENCE MORSS
Clarence MORSS, better known to his friends as "Shorty," son of Andrew and Amelia THOMPSON MORSS, was born January 5,
1884, near Mount Ayr, Iowa, and departed this life April 4, 1959, in his home in Riverton, Wyo.
When a small boy
he attended school at Leasonville and in 1901 moved with his parents to a farm near Ellston.
On February 8, 1910,
he was united in marriage with Mary G. FUGATE, in Mount Ayr. They established their home on a farm northeast of
Ellston, where they lived until moving in 1918 to Nebraska, where he was engaged in construction work. In 1925,
they moved to Wyoming, in which state he had since resided.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers,
a sister and four children - Nina Belle, Alfred Loyd (sic), Lena M. and Alvin M.
He is survived by his widow,
Mary; five sons, Francis G., Hurbet L., Ralph W., Harold O., and Robert D.; two daughters, Alice SHAWN and
Betty HOPKINS; a brother, Bert; two sisters, Edna ADAMS and Bertha MORCOMBE; fifteen grandchildren and five
Funeral and interment services were held April 7, in Riverton [WY].
