Following the death of her husband [January 17, 1943], Mrs. MAGGARD made her home with her son, Roy, until eight years ago, when she fell and broke a hip. Since that time, she had resided in the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. She was a member of the High Point Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children; two daughters-in-law, Doris and Vera MAGGARD; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes GILES, of California and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held September 10, from the Kellerton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Sheridan MALLOTT. Music was provided by Esther MANNING and Jack HUGHES, who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder." Casketbearers were Dr. Wm. CHANEY, Harold HARVEY, Paul WION, Lynn BUELL, Porter HAVELY and Donald SERVIER. She was laid to rest in the Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton.
